Accelerated Reader (AR) is the most popular and successful reading product of all time.  AR makes reading practice more effective for each student, it personalizes practice to each student's level, and helps build a lifelong love of reading.  Here at Stephensville Elementary we encourage students to earn a certain number of points every nine weeks.  Students that meet the goal for their grade level will be treated to a reward at the end of the nine weeks.  Nine week goals are based on reading level, reading 20 minutes per day, and other factors personal to each student.  The goals are very attainable for every student.  As long as they read for a few minutes each day and take the tests, they should be able to easily reach their goal.
